Alton Concert band is looking to recruit new members . We have current vacancies for : Percussion/Timpani, Bassoons, Bass Guitar and a Bari Sax.
Ideally, you should be a competent sight reader, work as a team playing alongside other musicians, have a good sense of pitch and rhythm and possess a good sense of musicality.
Our musical range encompasses original works for concert band, traditional music and light music in varying styles including music from the shows. We are a happy group of amateur musicians and we perform three or four concerts a year, raising money for local charities. If you are interested, please email altonconcertband@outlook.com
Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Alton Community Centre in Amery Street, Alton.
